"Only in time will life in Azeroth be fully restored; however it must not be forced. Nature must recover at its own pace, else peace shan't be so easily restored."
Dorondaer Fadrielad is a night elf male druid born over a hundred years prior to the War of the Ancients (10,161 AC). He served in the Kaldorei Resistance as an officer under Kur'talos Ravencrest, and soon after the war became a druid under Malfurion Stormrage, at Mount Hyjal. He went on to hibernate at the barrow dens in Moonglade, during which he dreamed of the Emerald Nightmare, before it even formed, and he was awoken and went to inform Fandral Staghelm. (At some point later, unknown to the elves, the Emerald Nightmare began to form when Yogg-Saron's prison met the roots of the failed World Tree Vordrassil in the Grizzly Hills). Meanwhile, Dorondaer trained druids while Stormrage and the rest of his druids slumbered.
When the Burning Legion invaded Azeroth for a second time, Malfurion was awoken by Tyrande Whisperwind, and Illidan Stormrage was released from his prison, to aid in combating the Legion. While the demon hunter did kill the dreadlord Tichondrius, he also absorbed the power of the skull of Gul'dan, turning him demonic and prompting Malfurion to banish Illidan forever. After months of combat, the Battle of Mount Hyjal took place, during which Archimonde was defeated and Nordrassil was damaged, resulting in the night elves no longer being immortal. The night elves also joined the Alliance following this event.
During the War against the Lich King, Dorondaer traveled to the Grizzly Hills to visit the former World Tree Vordrassil, although he did not stay long as he thought he felt a touch of the Nightmare. Following the Shattering, Dorondaer worked in Mount Hyjal to defend against Ragnaros, as well as traveled across Azeroth from time to time to aid in healing the shattered world. When Pandaria was discovered, he traveled there to learn more about it, and made friends with Chen and LiLi Stormstout. During the Siege of Orgrimmar, he led a group of druids into Orgrimmar after the Dark Shaman were defeated, among them a certain female night elf known as Arasdis Featherwing. After the siege, the two got together, and Dorondaer provided extra lessons for her, as he was eager to watch her abilities grow.
