Lyaria Silverdawn is a blood elf female paladin that was born one year after the opening of the Dark Portal. She was a mage in Silvermoon City when the Scourge invaded Quel'thalas. When the Blood Knights were formed, she joined their ranks as a paladin. Upon the blood elves joining the Horde, Lyaria met the tauren Rakarus Brighttotem, who taught Lyaria more in the Light.
When the Burning Legion invaded Azeroth for the third time, Lyaria and Rakarus joined the Order of the Silver Hand, and she took up the hammer, the Silver Hand. The two met up with Highlord Drasgar Emsworth, who would go on to be a constant ally of Lyaria's through the war, and a close friend.
